Before you get your dream job there are various barriers that you have to pass through and one of them is the interview.  While it seems easy at first to nail an interview there are various things you have to consider and keep in mind to nail an interview and get a job that you wanted to have.

First, research is the key to success. If you have been called by the company you applied for a job you need to do a lot of research regarding the company. When you research it means it has to have a purpose. There is no point in researching random facts about the company. You need to research about the job, the work that you need to do the job and about company mission, vision, objectives etc. so that it can be reflected in your answer during the interview.

Secondly, it is important to keep calm and take a deep breath before you answer anything and if your unsure about the question or how to tackle it is better to ask the interviewer to repeat question than answer it wrongly.

Similarly, presentation and dress code are important. You cannot show up in an interview in casual dress up. This is the first impression and it plays a vital role.

Finally, when giving an answer to question try to give your answer in a STAR model way. Have a direct eye contact with the interviewer and speak in a consistent and calm voice. If you change your tone and add UM Uhaa while speaking it make you look like you are unprepared. Hence it is better to wait for a second and answer.  Body gestures need to maintain as well while giving an interview.
