There are various types of discrimination

Discrimination can occur in different places
Under the Equal Opportunity Act, 2010 discrimination is against the law when it occurs in an area of public life such as clubs, schools, and shops, or in the workplace. The public places include:

  1. Accommodation
  2. clubs
  3. Education
  4. Employment
  5. Goods and services
  6. Land sales and transfers
  7. Local government
  8. Sports
In a nutshell, it's against the law to discriminate anyone and if you feel like you have been discriminated please notify the authorized person in your workplace or to police.

Personal Experience

Now even I had an experience of discrimination and it was in the street while returning towards my home. I was walking down the street when people coming from the car started shouting and saying to "go where you came from".

At that time I felt terrified as well as they stopped the car and started to follow me. I was bit nervous and terrified as this was my first encounter of discrimination. I called my friends and ran towards my home as quickly as I can.

Now I think of it if I ever get in that situation again, I would talk with them to stop it and if ti didn't work I would call the police.

Lastly, have a safe day and rise against any discrimination.
